Every time I connect to my home network with iPhone 4 my whole network stops working. Windows 7 is not reporting any problems with connection, nor is my router. I have cable connection with my PC and wireless with my laptop, they both just stop working without any visible reason. Even the iphone i connect with wont work, but of course it says its connected and everything is ok.

I tought it was an iOS 5 problem, so I reinstalled it. It worked for an hour then its all back again. I even tried sharing my PC connection so that my iPhone is connected to PC and not directly to router. But that produced the same results.

My roomate's iphone 3gs with iOS5 works normally.

    Any ideas? Thnx.

What is the manufacturer & model # of the router? Also, may want to download inSSIDer from http://www.metageek.net to see what other ap's are in the same channel as yours, so that way you can set the channel for your wifi to one that is not so heavily populated with other ap's.

now i connected my iphone again and all open web pages on my pc worked, but i couldn't load any new ones. Then after a minute only facebook kept working but without displaying any pictures. And now nothing works. Wierd sh*t.

*edit* obviously, this forum loads normally, since i just posted LOL

I am going to throw this out there, who is your ISP & where are you located. I am also going to say that most likely it is the ISP provided equipment that is at fault, not the iPhone.

Im in Croatia, provider is Optima Telecom.

If it's equipment problem, how come i have no trouble with other devices, is that possible?

And what router should I aim for? Since i highly doubt my provider will be willing to replace this one. Their answer will probably be smth along these lines:

    - Are all lights indicating u have access sir?
    - Yes but..
Sir, you are connected according to our system, the problem is on your side. thank u for calling.

Linksys WRT series, Netgear Prosafe series. If you are able to set the ISP provided router as a bridge, then you could use a different wifi router to do everything.

I just called my ISP and told them i want a new differenet router and shockingly, they only said that they will send someone.

    Then we'll see... :D
