I need some suggestions as to what to get as a replacement. First off, it must have support for Microsoft Exchange, and I must be able to watch YouTube on it as well. Those are the main things I need.

I have used Blackberry in the past, but, I don't want to use the Enterprise Plan so I think that's out.

Any suggestions? I cannot have a small QWERTY keyboard.

    HTC HD2

Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, works with Exchange (2003 SP2 or above), has Mobile Office 2003 or 7 (but can update to Mobile Office 2010 ) built in, has YouTube app built in and the keyboard is ok, has vibration feedback unlike the iPhone.

Likely an Android based phone that could do similar but I'm not upto speed on the Droid based phones, Windows Mobile 7 OS sadly doesnt come with YouTube built in although dont see what you could not just load the Youtube page up, but test one out at your local phone supplier.

I dropped my ATT contract and went to Sprint for the Evo. Works great so far, but the battery kind of sucks. 4G is nice to have and the screen is awesome.

The problem I have with Sprint is the coverage. I have two mobile towers outside my backyard and none of them are sprint.

@BILLMCC66- thats what i was going to recommend, one of my mates has one and it runs pretty well.

another phon i would recommend would be the htc desire, but again i wouldn't know if it was out i the usa, i guess it might be as the usa seems to get just about everything else before it come to the UK...

Here is my biggest hangup with iPhone and iTunes in general. It's something that was definitely in my mind when I got an iPhone and even afterwards, and it always seems at some point to come back to the forefront of the issue. That is, their music rights crapola.

If I goto iTunes and download a song, but somehow my computer crashes and I don't have a backup somewhere (yes I do backup guys) then I have to buy the song again, even though I already paid for it. Whereas I know at Napster and I think Rhapsody does this too, I can download that thing as many times as I want to.

Also the other issue is the file format. I cannot simply transfer a song from my iPhone to my wife's computer. I have to convert it to mp3, then burn it and import it into media player. Just a hassle is all.

I literally just came home from the local Verizon store with a Motorola Droid 2. It does YouTube very well, but after I tested that, Pandora Radio, and the camera, the battery drained so I haven't had dome to play with anything else.

Not sure how it does with Microsoft Exchange yet, but I can see what I can find out and get back to you.

    EDIT:
Never mind, just saw your comment about the small qwerty keyboard. It has one of those that slides out, so I guess it's out then? Verizon does have HTC phones as well, but I didn't want to pay all the extra money for that. :)

The Droid 2 should be ok, a quick read of the FAQ has instructions for MS Exchange HERE
But nothing better than someone trying it out personally so if Mimsy can do this then you have a good choice in new smartphone.

    Easier way of doing it:

On the home screen, tap the four little squares on the left and then on "Settings" to get the the phone settings (the four little squares on the left). Pick "accounts", and tap "add account". One of the ones available by default is "corporate sync".

From then you just go screen to screen and enter everything it's asking for. You can configure what type of data to sync, and also how often, and if you want it to sync only over (secure) wifi or not. It will try to sync up as soon as the account is created, to get you up to date, of course.

By the way, all accounts added this way get bundled into the shortcut "Messaging" and you can view all of them in the universal inbox together with text messages, or look at individual inboxes once you've opened the app. They're also on the first screen to the left of the main home screen.

Hopefully that was roughly what you were looking for. :)

Lost my edit button, so I unfortunately have to double post... just thought I'd mention MGs looks very nice in the default browser. :)
