Ipod charger not working

When I plug in my ipod into the charger I've used for months, I get a messages saying charging is not supported with this accessory.

Please help

oh I should add in its an apple IPOD charger and it has worked since I bought the ipod, only now is the same charger, I just used this morning/yesterday to charge my ipod,
so why the change?
I dont know?

 

what bugs me the most is I have a car charger that I got for $15-$20 and it chargers my IPOD fine
it is not an APPLE product, yet it still works
my Apple brand USB adapter attached to my Apple brand IPOD charger does not work

so does the IPOD charger not work because Apple wants me to buy a new charger?
why else would it not be working?

 

that's exactly what I thought as welll, due to an update, it now doesnt work
yet my non-apple charger works fine.
the problem is the nonapple charger is in my car! so I have to charge the ipod in my car, because the inside apple brand charger no longer works

I dont know how to get the apple charger to work again., any idea?

I suspect you know what you are doing, I'll likely see a apple store and stop in and complain at some point. If you have any tips about what to say or not to say, please share
My ipod doesnt have wifi service like an iphone does, it can use the wifi, so I have wifi at my home, but I can't charge my ipod in my home.
I get to charge it with my cheap car charger.

I have never been able to stand apple and yet everyone seems to love apple. the only thing I like about apple is their stock, I would never buy anything made by apple. the ipod was a gift and I have a Rumor2 phone while the rest of my family has iphones.
Im not sure why people buy apple? peer pressure? its too difficult to find a less popular item at a cheaper price that has the same/more options than apple?

yeah, so I guess this apple USB-IPOD charger is just worth tossing, since the ipod is the only apple product I'll ever get.
One of my friends, a camera affinicado, loves her high priced digital camera and was happy to be able to edit the picture on her IPAD. It was extremely easy to use. but then she had no way of getting the picture off the IPAD. no sd card and if she saved it to "the cloud", and downloaded it elsewhere, or emailed it to herself, she said the picture lost the resolution that she took the picture in with her "34TB digital camera" with automatic red eye reduction+foot massager*.

*she has a fancy-dancy camera, which I've heard too much about,
I've repeatedly asked for a photographs of the same picture to compare; one taken with her ultra$$$ camera and one taken with my Rumor2 camera phone or a cheap digital camera.
She insists she needs to extra resolution/pixels to "edit" the pictures. Even though I havent been given a picture in years and she averages 24 pictures a day(as of last year) she has 1000+ pictures to "edit". Why do some people not understand time in life is finite and priority should be given to things that you will look back on 1-50 yrs from now and be glad you did?
