Ipod files to Mp3

Hey Guys!!! Any freeware out there that will transfer my iTunes files, which i believe are mp4, to mp3 files. I bought my dad a mp3 player for fathers day and i have an ipod my self. I would rather not re-rip all of those cd's. Plus doesn't take up more space?? Let me know thx!!!!

I poked around the 'net for a bit, and there's soooo many (but most aren't free) that it was ridiculous... try a Google search for "mp4 to mp3 converter" or maybe "convert ipod to mp3".... here's some apps (free) here at Major Geeks which may or may not help.... good luck!

I used to use the program to convert from one format to another called dbpoweramp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm You could try it and see if it lets you convert from mp4 to mp3 the web site does list mp4 as supported plus it's free.

This program just unlocks the music so it may be transferred to other devices. :banghead

Not true..used it on many occasions to convert to mp3.
