iPod Mini Updating Problem

Hi,

I downloaded the latest version of iTunes for my iPod, then downloaded the latest updating software for it aswell. I then connected my iPod to my computer and ran the updater but it said that there was an "Internal Service Error"

Can anyone help me try to fix this problem so I can transfer music?
(Note: I don't have to worry about the music being wiped because I have done a backup).

I am running Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2

were there any error codes? Sometimes there is more info on errors. What were the options? Anything underlined? Something that looked like a link?

 

Unfortunatey there was no link, code or anything else of that sort. Any other ideas?
