IPOD to get?

I want an IPOD instead of a car CD changer, I was thinking to get an IPOD that could use an adapter to play over a radio station. Only I was agast at the sheer variety of IPODs to get
I was thinking about 8 gigs, but should I get a shuffle a nano?
what the hell do I get?

I want to be able to use it with an adapter to play over radio stations in my car and I think that can be any IPOD, but would appreciate some help, thanks!

 

Why an iPod, when there are so many other players out there that can do a better job for you? Most of them with more features and lower price, I might add...

 

From my experience, you don't want an adapter to play over radio frequencies. They're typically not too strong and have issues with interference. I'd say get a car radio that will accept a line in from an iPod (or whatever mp3 player) or, if you've got an older vehicle, tape adapters that plug into your music player to play through the tape deck work pretty well.
