Ipod To Pc Itunes

Long story short, computer crashed and now I just have my iPod music. I have tried to download copy trans and it won’t open. I would like to get my iPod library transferred to my PC without costing me any money.

 

Is the music on the iPod or under iTunes?
Do you have access to the old PC’s hard drive? If you connect the drive to the new PC via a drive caddy can you see the iTunes folder?

 

No I don’t have access to the old hard drive. The music is on iPod. I also don’t know if the drive caddy can see my iTunes folder. I don’t want to lose my play counts and playlists

 

You would have to remove the old hard drive & place it into a caddy, then connect this to the new PC & browse to the Music folder. This is where the iTunes folder resides. If you don’t want to lose your playlists which were on the old PC then this is the way to ensure you don’t lose them.
