iPod Touch Problem

After I got my iPod Touch, my first goal was to jailbreak it. So I downgraded it to 1.1.1, and then installed the Installer.app from jailbreakme.com.. Everything went fine, so I connected it into my computer, and it prompted me to restore all my files by loading the backup. So I did, because that was the only way it'd let me access my iPod Touch via iTunes. Then, it goes through a restore screen on the iPod Touch, and sits at the white apple on a black screen. It hasn't changed for minutes now.

I've tried restoring it, unplugging it from the USB, but it still sits at the white apple. Any help would be VERY appreciated, because I'd be so pissed if this is permanently broken.
