Ipod v.1 help

    Hey, i'm in Aust and my friend from england has leant me her origonal iPod from the first version to be released. the only thing is when I plug it in it doesn't show up in winamp or iTunes so I don't know how i'm meant to add songs..? Please help me someone!

    Did you look on the apple website yet? I was just there and they said that if you cannot see your device in itunes then you are probably not running the most current version of itunes. Either that or you have to update your ipod, which they also show you how to do. They also show you how to reset it. Hope this helps.

    Depends on the drive format, too. My iPod doesn't show up in any program on my windows machine, because the drive was formatted for OS X.
