iPod?

I wanted to ask

I just feel like buying an iPod.
Im not sure if I will, because Im unsure about 2 questions.
How much does it actually cost to keep the thing running.
Like switching batteries, how much does that cost?
and what are life spans of the batteries?

Do I have to other things?
I just don't want to buy a thing for 300 euro's, and after I have to keep investing money to keep the thing running...



Would be nice if someone could help me

 

I googled 'Ipod total cost of ownership', and I found this article. You may not be as extreme as this person, but its a fairly good example of how it can all add up! As for batteries, I would recommend Pure Energy rechargables, if they are available in your area. I've found them cheap (4 + charger cost less than 4 duracells), reliable and long lasting.

 

Ipods don't have user serviceable batteries.

If you get the apple warranty, they will replace the entire ipod when the battery dies.

I think up to two years.

 

You can get a replacement battery (with replacement instructions if you wish to do it yourself) for $20-$40 US. Lithium ion batteries, which the ipod uses, typically are rated to last 2-3 years.
