[IRC Bot] All around channel moderation

I want to start an IRC channel and I need an all around power IRC bot/ script that I can run from a command-line Linux box. I figure there are so many IRC channels there must be a generally accepted bot that most IRC-goers are familiar with.

Can anyone make a recommendation?

Features I'd like:
Channel protection
Spam protection
Swearing protection
