irql not less or equal caused by AntiVirus?

g'day

i been having this BSOD error on and off for the last 6 months. (mainly on rather than off)

STOP: 0X0000000A, 0X00000007, 0X00000001, 0Xxxxxxxxx
irql_not_less_or_equal

basically over these last six months ive discovered of web sites that this is caused either by faluty; RAM, L2 Cache, GPU; antivirus conflicts,firewall conflicts or a driver thats either corrupt or conflicts

... i doubt very much faulty RAM, L2 or GPU cause i can boot in safe mode. (and these problems im sure would screw your puter around safe mode or no!)
it must be a driver problem first i updated the video card success for a day or two the BSOD came back. since then i have updated mother board, usb, on board LAN drivers to no avail. i have tried at least 6 diff types of catalyst's at least four diff ones came out during i was trouble shooting this none fixed it i tried the original catalyst from the cards driver cd it fixes the problem for a day or two..
... by now im thinking my Vid card is bad
finaly i think about the antivirus and firewall.. i uninstall my firewall - no fix
i uninstall my AV (nortons) - fix yay im so happy i can finaly play games again cause i can boot with out safe mode
i install a new av (Zone alarm with AV) ok for a few days BAM error again

this makes me believe that my anti virus may be claiming a higher irq than my kernal or so i read can occur on a web page. at the momment i have no AV but i would like it very much installed

does any one know if my trouble shooting has found the correct problem and if so how can i stop my AV stealing an irq away from my kernal
