Is CCleaner the deepest clean?

When I want to clean up a bit I use CCleaner, then the one click registry cleaner on youruninstaller2008, then a defragment. I use XP.

Is there any other good software out there that will clean deeper?

I use Diskeeper for real time defragging and Wipe by Privacy Root and they seem to do it.

i use ccleaner have done for years as i find this program to be one of the safest i also use piriforms defraggler to defrag my system. it is not advisable to over clean your system sometimes this will cause more problems and make your system unstable.

 

CCleaner does a good job, but there are other safe apps out there that clean different things. Check out these freebies:

I've used each of these extensively and they're all excellent, safe, and they hit different areas on your system, so you know that everything is clean.

Another great app is nCleaner. It has a 'Shred free space' feature that completely wipes the free space on your hard drive(s) so you know that it's clean, and it adds a 'Shred with nCleaner' option to the right-click menu so you can safely and completely destroy any file you right click on, including the contents of the Recycle Bin. I like nCleaner! It also has a System Cleaner, Junk Finder, Startup Manager, System Tweaker, Task Scheduler, etc.... and it's free! :-D
