Is every switch a hardware firewall?

I'm looking to get a cheap switch to share an internet connection, and it'd be nice if it were also a firewall. Are they all firewalls by nature?
Specifically, I'm looking at this one:

Nope, no switchs are firewalls, unless its a router/firewall/switch

Both have hardware firewall built in, you should also run a software firewall. There are some great free ones here at MG

could you install the nVidia firewall outside of an nVidia chipset?

 

No as its built into the chipset, but your best bet is to get a router if you only need a limited number of ports.

 

If you are trying to use ICS, you will need a switch. Not a router. A router will not work. But if you are sharing the connection straight from the cable modem to the router, ASUS is correct, you'll definitely want a router.
