Is FTP what I want?

I would like the ability to access my files remotely without having to install any software on the client PC.

I would like something web-based, where I can type in my computers IP address, or name (using some dynamic DNS server) and will have the ability to see an organized, catagorized list of files from my home PC.

Also, not necessarily with the same software, I would like to be able to send torrents to my home PC from a remote location.

What would I need to use for this??

 

FTP will work with files through IE or any browser. Filezilla has a free FTP server.
For actual remote Remotley Anywhere is browser based, or maybe GoToMyPc is an option.
