I have a 17" crt monitor on a table next to my computer tower... Would this be bad for my pc tower and/or it's internal components? I mean could damage arise just because it's next to the monitor? By the way I have an acrylic see through case [completely see through].

Won't hurt the computer, unless there is a heat problem.

But your CRT monitor my be a little fuzzy from the magnetic fields from the computer.

Thanks for the reply... No I haven't noticed the screen being fuzzy. & the screen doesn't cause heat on it's sides [which point to the pc tower]. The heat is actually dissipated upwards the back of the monitor through air vents. For the record there is no fan in my monitor [don't know anyone that would have one - lol].

"Back in the day" CRTs were not well shielded. Those old time CRTs could reset your computer if they were parked too close. Modern CRTs are well shielded and even repeated use of the de-Gaussing function won't easily couple into your computer. With an acrylic panel/case, I'd be more concerned with electrostatic coupling from the computer user. However, I'm sure the case manufacturer has provided some safeguards, else their reputation would soon suffer.:)
