Is it Flash Player 10 or the new modem?

Got both about the same time, and can't tell what the problem is now with videos such as hulu, which were no problem before but now stop and stutter badly. Hulu said I might have a bandwidth problem, but I don't know how that plays into this. Is that possibly caused by the new modem AT&T sent, which is different than my old one? (The old one was fluctuating a lot, and losing the connection frequently.)
I uninstalled Flash 10 using their uninstall, and reinstalled. Updated Java, too. Also tried emptying the browser cache, unchecking the accelerate hardware, putting the storage down to 0 and back up to 100 on hulu.
Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?
Using IE7 with XP home. Supposed to have DSL

Is putting the old modem back in place an option? This would then give you a better idea whether it was the new modem or the FP 10, being that you would only have one variable.

That's a great idea, thanks! The instructions for the new one said to leave it running for 10 days, which will be on the 22, though.

So, grin and bear it for a few more days and then run the test if performance still hasn't improved ;)

I'm guessing the 10 days is to do with connection speed optimization and possibly their profiling it etc.
