OK, I have 2x 1GB Kingston 800Mhz sticks or RAM. I went to buy some more but the shop didn't have anymore Kingston ram in stock, The shop owner said i should be able to use another brand. I bought 2x 1GB patriot 800Mhz sticks. they seem to work fine on my desktop, browsing the net etc... when i start paying a game after about 10 - 15 min my screen goes blank and G15 LCD shows G15 instead of an app and my speakers will make a loud screeching and crackling noise, my PC will still be running but I have to reboot it. I have tried lowering the settings....still nothing. i haven't been able to find anything through Google either. both set of ram work fine by them selves.

    PC Specs:
    E8400 3.0GHz.
    Ram ^^.
    Gigabyte EP45-DS3 motherboard.
Gigabyte 4870 OC edition Video card.
    Thermaltake 430Watt PSU.

    Thanks.

Second up from the bottom is the correct down load for Memtest86 for Windows, down load it and check yours for possible problems. If the test shows any sign at all replace that stick, do them one at a time.

Just try that to rule in or out any faulty modules.

It is, download the .ISO file and copy to a bootable CD using InfraRecorder.

Then select your CD drive as primary boot from your BIOS.

I ran the test. 100% pass, no errors.
I don't think it could be the PSU because the mobo is supposed to make a sound it there isn't enough power. also it only does this if both sets of ram are in the mobo. further help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

I went to eXtreme Power supply calculator to see how many watts my PSU was using and is said 458Watts...... My PSU is 430Watts.
    Should i upgrade my PSU?

    Most definalty!

That wattage the calculator gives is an absolute minimum and you should add 50-100 on top of that for your chioce of PSU.
