I dont know but back in the days of dial up the term was "shotgunning modems" maybe that be worth googling... shotgun nics?

Multiple connections are used for load balancing... Also there is the option to bridge connections, but I don't know if there'd be any benefit.

 

that wouldnt increase your internet speed. there isnt really anything you can do to effectively increase the speed that your ISP gives you through the line to your house. some say tcp/ip stack optimizers work, but i dont hold any stock in those at all.

 

Your Internet speed is dictated mostly by your ISP in that they give you what you pay for.

If you are using wireless then there are a few tweaks to give it more speed (not much) the best way to get the max from your ISP is to hard wire it.

 

well im not talking about increasing the internet speed from MY isp, i know that i am already getting what i am paying for (512k connection, average 60kb/sec dl speeds)

im talking about connecting to a DIFFERENT wireless connection and my own hardwired/wireless connection and increase speeds by "adding on" the bandwidth/speed of the OTHER connection to MY connection
