Is It The 'new' Gpu Or A Compatibility Issue, Please?

Sorry, I haven't been around for a while, but like a bad penny I'll holler when I have an issue :00

I have an issue!

I have a Gigabyte B450M Motherboard & have been running a GTX 1070Ti 8GB on it for many years. I have 64GB DDR4 & CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

I just tried to upgrade to a second hand RTX 3080 Founders edition GPU.

When I boot it gives one long beep followed by two short beeps.
It hangs prior to the BIOS screen.

Have I got a faulty GPU or is it a compatibility issue, please?

 

Running Win 11 btw.

 

Wired it exactly the same as the functional GTX 1070Ti

Power supply is Corsair CX850M

 

The fans on it didn't spin up when I switched it on though.

 

There is a dual lead adaptor which I fitted to the card power inlet. I only have one plug enabled. Do I need power to both?
