Hi. I was wondering is it true microsoft spys on you through software included with your os such as wmp? Thats what a friend told me. He says they are even going to put a thing in the new windows live stuff they are coming out with so they can even track you to your exact location. He told me the new windows vista is going to be full of stuff just for M$ to spy on you.

    IS THIS TRUE???

I think you may be refering to the Windows Media Player Unique Id which has a reference to your IP address and the Player ID. You can turn this off to prevent a server from uniquely identifying your computer:
On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Player tab, clear the Allow Internet sites to uniquely identify your Player check box.

    Further information at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/windowsxp/privacy.aspx
