I've got a TDK 2gb flash drive and I would like to ask if a 700 mb of data being written to it took about 4-3 minutes is a sign of my flash drive going to say "bye-bye"?

I forgot to do a time test during when my flash drive is new, and i felt today it becomes a little slow. My flash drive will be one year in October.

If you gonna ask how often i write to this drive, i would say at least 5 times a week.

    Hi

No wouldnt say its one its way out, just at times data being written can go slow or really quick, just depends at times if other devices are using the I/O (input/output) of a particular controller device.

Could format the flash drive and then try the same data again and see if its any quicker, but 700mb is a fair but of data to move from a quick HDD to the reletive slower USB devices.

    What Windows version BTW?

To follow in Halo's footsteps: you might check the TDK site for any updates for your device...
