My hypertransport speed is 1000mhz on my Asus A8n-e and i thought it was supposed to be 2000mhz?
I have and AMD 3500+ and I know the fsb is completely different to Intels but theres so many different fsb properties and memory propereties I get confused.
Anyone mind explaining how amds front side bus speed works and how its faster than Intels typical 800mhz fsb speed..
My actual fsb speed is 200mhz but where does the hypertransport clock come into it?

The FSB of the AMD isnt actually faster than Intels, it just uses the ram in a different way and uses other CPU extensions to manage data transfer more effectively :)
you are correct in saying the ASUS is a 2000Mhz Hypertransport bus, also supporting 1600Mhz,
This artical will explain the FSB a little better for you
