ok...so last night i was workin on my comp.installed the new fear combat game...i installed a few tweak programs that my bro gave me like nvtweak, and a few others...installed'em...went to do the auto tune feature in one of the programs and it said i needed to update my vga card drivers...i did that this morning...turned it off...swapped it back to where it was supposed to be w/ the other 2 monitors and such...rebooted it...now, when i turn it on, all i get is a messey screen of black and white...nothing shows up that is coherent..no error codes or anything...i can tell its going to windows because im hearing the windows start up sound through the speakers...i swapped back to my old ti4200 and it runs just fine...swapped back to my newer n6600 and it still doesnt work...i did a rollback already to see if that might help and it didnt...my specs are:

    AMD Athlong XP 3200
    MSI K7N2G Series Mainboard
Asus GeForce 6600 256MB AGP 8x graphics card
    Soundblaster Live! 24-bit
    Western Digital 100GB 7200RPM HDD
    Western Digital 200GB 7200RPM HDD
    Simpletech 1.5GB DDR
    Windows XP Pro

please, any help is greatly appreciated...

can u test another video card in ur PC? maybe from a friend? any AGP video card will work

you may have overclocked it too far which possibly fried it. we can only find out by testing it in another computer or vice versa, another card in your computer

i have another one and i tested it...the other card works just fine...the thing is i didnt overclock it...i installed a program last night that "finetunes" everything....it wouldnt work cuz i needed to update my vga driver...i did that this morning...rebooted the comp and the screen looked exactly like a scrambled channel would...did the driver maybe destroy my card???

cant see how a driver would/could fry a card...try this: pop in the other card, roll back the driver, and then try the card in question again with the known to be good driver

i misread it the first time...i swapped the card into my other comp...nothin...so im thinkin its dead...but i was thinkin that the driver may have changed something in there that wouldnt allow it to work...but iono...so i guess its time to look for a new card
