    Hello All,
When i turned on my PC, his morning i got a blue screen and reboot, then it kept looping. I went in to safe mode and as soon as the desktop came up the system rebooted.
So i managed to get the bsod message: Kernal data error 0X0000008E-0XC0000005, F77OCAD, 0XF73927E4, 0X00000000.
Fearing the worst I booted up from a lived CD (kubuntu 1.7) and when i trie to access the HDD got the message All mount optins refused.

The drive in question is a Seagate ST3500320AS.
Now when i boot I get 'Unmountable boot volume'

    Has the drive died?

    Laptop or desktop?
May want to check all connections to your drive. They have a way of coming loose when not needed.

    Hi Nedlamar,
I have run the seagate DOS tools and this crashes at 60% on a long test, the short test runs okay.
