Is There a Free Program for slicing different audio clips together?

Hey Friends~

It's Me Again.

I'm making a movie out of windows movie maker and I have lots of songs I want to splice together to make one song. Like I have a few lines from each song that I want to take out and put together with other lines from other songs so the outcome is just one big song. I want to use for background music. I have never made a movie before or messed with audio and visual but I am liking it. Just very very time consuming...

Is there an easy program to do that with the audio?? Or am I stuck with the full song for each favorite set of lyrics??

windows movie maker will allow you to chop the audio up as you please.

If you have used Movie Maker before it's easy as pie

Get to the point in the song where you have what you want and move the blue track bar over it (it will probably be there already if you listened and paused it)

Now press Control+L (or go to tools> Split) and it will split that portion of the audio for you

Then delete what you don't want, presto easy as pie audio splitting for your needs

True, but for a novice user, it will meet the need, why use a sledgehammer when a thumb will do. Find what suits you, for ease of use, with a package you are already getting familiar with it makes sense.
