Is there a Laptop better than a DELL for £750 with Accident Insurance

Hi again all.

People forever seem stuck on Dell to buy their stuff from.

Someone I know wants to get a laptop for their daughter for Xmas. The family is nervous since the girl is sometimes a little bit reckless, hence the attractiveness of the bundled Dell insurance. The advantages Dell have are:

• Accidental damage cover with "At home "service"" (ooo eerrr!)
• Worldwide repairs/warranty etc etc
• It's cheapish and not too nasty
• Dell is a recognised name

She plays the occasional game, dables in photography, but is not phased by the best of everything. Some future proofing would be nice, but at this price, I'm expecting more emphasis on the root core power (CPU etc) than anything else.

Any ideas? Please folks recommend away!!!
