Is there a program that can do this?

Hello everyone, my first post :) Basically what I want to do is to easily close my anti-virus and spyware blocker programs when I play games and record music. Currently I have to press ctrl alt del and close each one individually. Is there a program available where I could maybe put them into a group of processes and close them all with one click? It's just a little annoying having to do it manually and individually every time. Any help much appreciated :)

Thanks, Halo for the suggestion.
I've been looking for an alternative to SmartClose that recent MS updates have stuffed,
    I think.

I still use SmartClose but it is no longer as simple as it used to be.
Downloading KillProcess now, thanks again. :) Bazza

Installed KillProcess yesterday. It works, but is a real PITA as you have to confirm every entry that you have set up on the "kill" list, when you run the program.

It might be OK for 1-2 entries but when you are "killing" 30 or more entries (after logging of the Net) it is really annoying.

Afterall, you have gone to the trouble of setting up the list so why confirm it, one by one, again? Beats the hell out of me.

Should have a "Yes to all" option when asking about closing processes.

It is not as pretty as SmartClose and not quite as efficient, as it leaves a couple of processes that SmartClose closes.

The difference is that IT WORKS with XP Pro (updated with the latest updates) whereas SmartClose fell foul of some MS update.

Will continue to use KillProcess and try and refine the process.

Thanks Halo for the link. Bazza

Hey bazza, I seem to recall a few months(even 6 ) months ago looking for something along these lines. Back then I had said kill em all 2, It seemed like they did so well they had to start charging money for it. I do have a version of it I can email you if you would like, as it is a pain to find, PM me and let me know, as it is a small file. It works very well, especially in problematic situations...thats all
    Jaza;)

XP Pro has a kill process in system32 taskkill.exe might have better luck with it.
