is there a program to view pdf's that is free and doesnt take a vast amount of system resources?:confused

also does anyone know aby good free ebook sites? (primarly for computer based books) :confused

Foxit is a good reader, but I'd like to put in my 2 cents for the one I use, PDF X-change viewer. It's a freebie, and not only seems do more but appears to be faster than Foxit.

thnx guys i have fox it now and it runs great sence i didnt have to install (viva la uniextractor)

but still need a good site for free ebooks at this rate all subjects welcome

 

Universal Viewer After it's installed, it adds itself to the Windows context menu (also called the right-click menu). You can then right click on any text file, graphics file, even media files like AVIs, and select 'Universal Viewer' and it will open. It's a viewer only (as suggested by the name ) and does not allow for editing of anything, but it's very lightweight and I swear by it.
I also like the lite version of Adobe Reader, available right here at Major Geeks. Also light weight, and it does everything the standard Adobe Reader does but without the bloat.

I agree with dlb. Universal Viewer is light and can be made portable. I use it quite a bit. I also use the Lite version of Adobe Reader. I recommend downloading Adobe Reader Lite now, while you still can. :-o
