open a program, update date it and then run it? I am thinking for the free software like CCleaner, Malwarebytes and Superantispyware or even an anti virus program that has an automatic feature programmed in. Sure would make it easier running scans and such. Thanks. Stan

Wonder if it would be a good idea to have that kind of program. Thanks for replying!

In the case of CCleaner you could use a combination of "command line" parameters(switches) and the task scheduler.

With the free AV(s) like Avast, AVG and AntiVir I believe there are options built in to automatically update and set scheduled scans.

A program that would allow this to be done with the free versions of MBAM and SAS would be contrary to the author's intent and deprive them of the money they deserve as those features are available in the pro or paid for versions but not the free.
