I have recieved a couple photo kiosks that are running windows xp pro. The problem is they are running bit9 parity agent and I can not download anything. Is there a way I can reformat the drive and use the existing xp codes off the computers?? or is there away to disable bit9 parity agent ??

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask -- But try going to run >> regedit, if you can get in there. it's built-into Windows so no downloads required.

    IIRC, it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING OR IT MAY NOT WORK.

    bit9 blocked that attempt
windows also said that regedit was not a win32 app

I'm sure what 'bit9' is, and if Windows is telling you that regedit is not a valid app, then you have other issues. But I guess this is why you want to get the key to reload Windows. And, no, it is NOT found anywhere in the registry; the Product ID is in the registry but it won't help, and the Digital Product ID is also in the registry, but it won't help either. The only ways I'm aware of to get your XP product key from within Windows require the use of some type of program. If your Windows is so messed up that downloading and running a simple tool isn't possible, then you can always create a UBCD4Win using the info in this guide. But you'll need to download the main file, and burn an ISO image file, so a fully healthy functional PC and full version Windows XP disc are necessary. If you can download a file, I personally use ProduKey. It's small, easy to use, and can be used to extract the key from non-booting drives (if they're connected to a functioning PC as a secondary or external drive).
    Good luck!

(BTW- if you have your XP install disc, browse to the i386 folder and scroll down to the UNATTEND.TXT file; open it and scroll to the last line; there's your key!)

If you have access to a friends PC and a USB drive, grab a copy of Magical JellyBeans

:-o OOOOPS! I meant to say "I'm not sure what 'bit9' is".... my bad. But, yeah, use ProduKey or Magical Jelly Beans from a thumb drive... they work beautifully.
