I am using photoshop CS2 to process my images from Raw to JPG. When I do this I get 100% CPU usage and my computer is slower than molases in January. Are there any things that I can manipulate within the OS that may make it run faster?

I have an AMD 1.5 ghz with a gig of RAM.

Are you converting RAW to JPG within CS2? How much of a scratch disk are you using with CS2?

When was the last time you defragged your hdd?

    Hello
If you are just using it as a Save As why not try a smaller porgram that uses less resources than PS. I use IRFAN Viewer (Free) which uses very little resources and you can even do minor editing with it.

Tip .. when usin graphic software alot .. like PSCS2 .. you might wanna add more RAM .. (and enable the cache option in the CS2)
I had to completly update my hardware for my heavy graphical work ;)
