    Hi,

I love a show called “American Greed” on CNBC Website. but I am not able to record it from the website.

I can play it but due to low internet speed it breaks up & screen size is small too while playing it from the website.

Is there a way to record it ?

    I am using Windows -7 ( Ultimate )

    Here is the Link

    Thank You.

How about hitting the pause button, grabbing a coffee in the interim, and it could be downloaded by then. Full screen is available bottom right but pretty well sucks on a large(24") screen. Interesting show, thanks.;)

Yep. But it doesn't let me play on my player anytime I want, ties up my PC & Full Screen sucks.

But it is an interesting show that I ran into when actually visiting the site for other purpose.

There might be a download app for that but I haven't found one yet. Lots of news sites do not let one download their content and even if you could have it on your disk then I doubt the picture quality would improve any.
Someone else may have a real solution.

    Hi

This should work for you Orbit Downloader is more so a download manager for large or multiple files, but it has a Grab/Grab++ option that will when you hover over the video on the screen give you a small bot that says Get It, click that and it will add the video stream file to its download manager and download a copy of the whole file to your PC where once its finished you can play it back, without stuttering etc

Just tested to see if it picks up the URL for those videos and yes it does, the files are .FLV ones so what Windows version and what media player do you use as you may not have the video format to play .FLV back? I just added a CODEC pack to my Win7 and use mediaplayer to playback the likes of .FLV files.

I use Media Player Clssic that comes with K Lite Mega Codec Pack & Plays almost all kinds of files & it does play .FLV file.

I use Internet Download Manager & it also does the same thing.

But if you notice, that FLV file is only couple of MBs & downloads only the Advertisement & not the actual video.

Can you verify & see if it downloads the Actual Video & not just the ads ?

    Thank You.

    Hi

No seems CNBC have the full video URL different from the lead in which normally is the same file, sadly not in this case, I did look at the page source code and couldnt find a URL to a .swf or .flv file, also tried a packet sniffer to see what data was entering my computer, nothing their either.

Sorry but going to have to think on this more and test a few things out and get back to you, unless anyone else has a good app.

Thank You all for your help.

    Especially DavidPG & PloDr.

I did find 2 applications which are 1 click record & also convert from one format to others. Unfortunately both are paid versions but have trial. Free versions required some technical knowledge & took time to learn so I took easy way out.

    They are
    Replay Video Capture
    WM Recorder.

    Hi georgetok

Yeah I couldn't find much that was free some paid for apps like those, so does the app you bought do the job well?

Cheers for posting back with your resolution.
