Is there another program like System Protect to prevent file deletion?

I love the concept of System Protect, but it's been wreakiing havoc on my system.

Free Space was 35.8GB; now 22.0GB because after backing up My Documents on Google Drive, Google Drive has duplicated the whole darn thing on my hard drive :mad

Not to get off topic, but I noticed you say Google Drive has duplicated your My Documents folder on your hard drive. Have you tried the Google board for help with this? That sure is a large of space being used unnecessarily.

BTW...I just Googled around a little bit about Google Drive. I think you might want to be a little bit careful. Apparently, there are numerous bugs in the syncing system they use. To see more you can try this Google search:

I'm going to go back and do the reading I would rather have done before I rushed onto Google Drive because of the mysterious deletion of pictures. Then I will hit the board.

Doesn't surprise me. As you know, I think Google Chrome is vastly overrated. I have visited its support board and been shocked at the stupendous volume of glitch reports pouring in daily to their forum.

I actually had Google block a communication by me to one of their extension developers as "suspected spam." I think Google is a malign corporation. They delight in killing things that they got people very attached to.

I will be looking for more remote backup sites, hopefully to make Google Drive superfluous to me.
