is there free software to optimize the following settings

on my home computer(full administrative access) i have the following things

NVIDA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro for video card

WDC WD400BB-75AUA1 for disk drive

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1500MHz for processor

is there anyway to optimize these to full potential for free with software :confused(without stressing the hardware):confused

 

You have a real old video card there, and there's not a lot you can do with it besides maybe overclock it, but that would stress the hardware, and is not likely to improve performance on a card that old because it probably can't handle more than an overclock of a few megahertz. The hard drive can be cleaned using any number of free drive cleaners (CCleaner and CleanUp! are two great free programs in the Drive Cleaners section) to get rid of junk files, temp files, etc, then use a good defrag (Auslogics is my favorite free defragger in the Drive Utilities section). Your CPU, again, can be overclocked if your motherboard BIOS supports adjusting clock speeds. Again, that will stress your hardware, so the choice is yours. Major Geeks has an overclocking forum with a good beginner's guide. The best performance booster is good general maintenance (read this guide) and a memory upgrade. Good luck!

lol ya i already run full maintnence lol i got computer for free and i wanted to see if i could improve performence without stressing the hardware because of the age and the fact i cant afford new hardware or ram lol
