Is there one Malware/Spyware program worth buying?

I was thinking, instead of me always running these free versions of the programs, is there one that I can buy that will out perform these freeware versions? Realtime blocking, better scanning ect. Or are the free versions just as good as the paid ones ( if all were looking for be scanning properties? )

If you are willing to accept a bit of bloat, kaspersky does a full security suite, which includes a cracking firewall.

I havn't ever used nod32 properly [unlike kaspersky which is my current AV] but it gets top reviews everywhere [including in here] and is always tops in the detection rates.

I would assume by bloat you mean resource hungry?

 

I use Nod32, and my only complaint with it is that when its disabled through task manager, (shutdown the process) it doesnt shut down entirely, as in if you connect to the internet with a new program, you're not allowed until you start up nod32 again and allow it through.

It's not that bad, it is not really noticeable [unless your looking for it] but compared to what it used to be like, it saddens me.

Kaspersky-AV is still very good though.
