Is there some way to do this ...

Hello. I am TRYING (desperately) to figure-out how to use my PC to earn some money due to a recent injury that is keeping me from work. I have been visiting a great many different sites on the web, and recently am experiencing some trouble with my mouse (AND keyboard) "freezing-up" momentarily (a minute or so), and also my "Bookmarks" list "hanging/freezing" sometimes after I open it or click on it (the display remains/won't disappear as it normally does, again, for a minute or so).

After just now installing "SpyBot S & D" (and immediately updating the protection) I see some entries (all cookies, I think) after a scan that I would like to dispose of, but not sure if this will prevent me from returning to or using any of the various "work at/from home" sites that I am trying to work with (??). Is there a way to show someone the results from my scan to see if these cookies are "safe" to dispose of or either "safe" to keep?

I wouldn't worry about cookies as they do nothing but track and keep password/login info. Are you using FireFox? I have to at times kill it when it's using over 200MB memory.

 

I am using Firefox, though not sure how I would know how much memory it's using (?). Firefox is generally a "safer" browser to use, is it not? How would I "kill it" (use IE7 instead?)?

Thanks for amplifying that Steve, I'm too brief at times. BTW grc, end the process firefox.exe using task manager, this way if you have a lot of tabs open you won't lose them when you restart FF, they'll all be restored.
