Is this a virus, conflict, ?

I seem to be having an issue between Avast, Kaspersky Online Security Scan (free), and Malwarebytes. It all started when I started noticing the computer bogging down while running a Malwarebytes scan. Temporarily turned off Avast to hopefully get better response. It would seem somehow that opened up the door to infection. Now I've been trying to shake off a single "object detection" every time I scan--I think it's regenerating itself. I'm not sure, but then again it might be false positives and this is all about conflicts. How can you tell? Is there a known issue especially between Avast and KS AV? Because the last time, Avast called Kaspersky a trojan!

I'll be happy to post logs, etc if anyone can help. Really need to get this fixed, I'm not going to go into personal files until I do so (and I really need to do that).

This is for an XP Home Edition
Have all Microsoft updates (that have been offered anyway)
Also running Avast Pro Antivirus v. 8.0.1488, latest virus defs.
    Anything else, just ask
