Is this any good?

www.xbconnect.com I've heard about it a couple times. Is it any good? has anyone had success with it? Because im not going to go out and buy an rj-45 cable if it doesn't work. thanks.

 

Haven't used any latest releases of it. But when me and FW190 used to play head to head, it wasn't that bad. Sometimes it was laggy as hell, but it was ok about 75% of the time. That was like 2 years ago. Who knows how much better or worse it is now.

 

So basically all I need to hook up is an account on xbconnect, an rj-45 cable, and the software?

 

and a computer to run the software on.

It is actually pretty good. When I played it awhile back it gave me some troubles connecting, but when it did work it rocked! It was nice to play Halo 1 with other fans. There is another version of XBOX Live thats free, im not too sure as the name, but its a UK website, and I heard it may be better than XBConnect.

Yes its nice now, I use it to play H2 and they just came with a new version called neXBC. You just need to hook it up like he said and basically you just need a computer close or hooked to the router. Good luck I recommend this.
