is this bad?

wwe just bought a new cpu fan and my dad unpacked it and started FEELING it cause he has to touch EVERYTHING. my question it the thermal paste that comes with the fan pre-applied was ever so slightly touched buy him. I thought this might be bad because of grease on your fingers and that touching the cpu and something melting and blah blah. so is this something to worry about or is everything all golden?

Yer as Dacads and Augie said, she'll be right ... unless your Dad decided to feel his eyes or touch his mouth afterwards! That stuff is toxic!

 

Hey there,

Dont want to be a panic monster or go against the grain, at geek school our tutor couldnt stress enough how toxic thermal grease is, and how it can go right through your skin like it wasnt there and sit in your fatty cells surrounding your major organs.

It would probably take a fair amount of thermal paste before it killed you though.

Most definitely very toxic ... although I dunno about the going through your skin part ...

However you should always wear gloves when using it
