Hi, I am sorry if this is a stupid question. I received the following e-mail today yet I did not send the alleged message and there is no such message in my sent items. Is it caused by a virus/trojan etc or is it just junk mail?

The e-mail had 2 attachments with it that I have not opened in case they are a virus one called "details.txt (333b)" and the other which has an envelope icon called "A Right Career for the right person (1.74KB) (6KB)"

NB I use blueyonder PC Guard anti-virus and firewall which say I do not have a virus.

Thank you in advance if you can help.

    Yes almost certainly

You did right by not opening the attachments.

If you don't know the sender and the message is impersonal and cryptic delete it as it is spam or malware.

    Delete the thing!
