Is this enough protection?

I just bought a Dell Inspiron laptop. It came with PC Cleaner Pro and Webroot Anti-Virus with SpySweeper. Is this enough protection from all the bad stuff out there? On my old laptop, I have Super AntiSpyware, ccleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Microsoft Security Essentials--all free. What should I do? Thanks.

I generally remove all the "suggested software" and trial programs that most manufacturers seem to load up on a new computer.
    I use Revo Uninstaller http://majorgeeks.com/Revo_Uninstaller_d5706.html
before I remove anything that Revo lists, I google to see information about the program.

I'd install the programs you are familiar with on the new Dell : Super AntiSpyware, ccleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Thank you for these very helpful replies. I'll go with tried-and-true.

One added thought for novice users who may be reading this thread (based on my experience as a PC repair tech):

No matter how many antivirus, malware prevention and other tune-up/scanning programs you have running, there is no such thing as a "virus-proof" or "malware proof" PC.

I have run into countless customers who (even after seeing the results of a Malware Bytes scan) swear their PC should have been bulletproof since (pick one: Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc.) is up and running on their system.

Without stepping on the Virus and Malware Moderator's toes, here are the basics I tell everyone:

*Don't download anything unless you're sure it's from a trusted source.

*Don't click on links in e-mails. Period.

*Don't click on ads for "free" or "discount" anything. Third-party toolbars and programs are one of the top sources of malware.

    Hi, Oma.

I tried to download de-crapifier but it wouldn't download for me. What am I doing wrong?

Lavender, you need to start your own thread. You do not tack your questions on to someone else's thread at MajorGeeks.

When I tried to download MSE to my Windows7 system from the Microsoft site, the drop-down box did not list Windows 7 as an option. So I went to a different download site (CNet) and it started okay but then I got a message that I was trying to download a 32-bit program into a 64-bit program (not sure that "program" is the word used). Now what?

Hi, I'm not tech savy, but this is how I downloaded mine.
I got it through the following link, clicked on the orange circle, it then opens a window where you can choose from Windows XP 32-bit, Windows Vista / Windows 7 32-bit or Windows Vista / Windows 7 64-bit.

    Hope this helps?
