Is this Microsoft warning for real?

A box about 8.5" wide by 4" tall, appearing to be from Microsoft, pops up on my computer from time to time. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm wondering if it's a spyware trick. Here are more details.

There is a "Microsoft blue" bar running across the top. In the top lefthand corner is the IE logo and the following message (the eWarning line appears in the blue bar):

A few popup ads appear at the same time.

Last time I clicked yes to an imitation Microsoft ad, I ended up with Spam Utility Blocker, which loaded Hotbar on my computer, so I'm suspicious about this latest one that pops up every now and then.

I've seen these before and I would say "NO" it is not from Microsoft.

 

i used to get them too. they are ad-ware or spy ware. all it is is a pop up trying to get you to go to their web site and use their software.
use spy-bot and or ad-aware to remove it. I think you can get them from the FAQ area of this forum.
