Is this legit?

$60 for Photoshop 7?

I understand what OEM software is, and I don't need a manual or manufacturers support, but damn, thats still really cheap!


Any have an experience with this place?

Couldn't tell you if its legit or not, but Photo Shop 8 in stores like office max and staples around me is only $100.00 at most. So I would imagine an oem version of thier older software would be cheaper. $60 bucks seems about right I think.

Edit: Actually, I was thinking of Photo Shop, not Adobes Photoshop. I'm not sure that is a pretty steep discount. And the wording in the FAQ's leads me to believe its not legit.

"This software is recognized as a backup software."

Which to me means it doesn't provide you with an actual ownership right to the software or a valid license.

 

There are companies out there trying to sell you a "back-up" of software as long as you claim to already own it. Not good business and likely asking for trouble.

This company does not *seem* to be doing that, other than that odd back up statement. However, this comment in the FAQ appears fishy:

The software is shipped from Eastern Europe.

 

Even if it is legit, you have no way of proving that is is or isn't. It is possible (though unlikley) that they have somehow managed to get software licences for stupidly cheap prices, and are just selling you a CD with the software on. Its equally possible, that they've just generated the licences. How can you tell?

[font=Book Antiqua, Times New Roman, Times]That could mean they are selling burnt CDs. So you have no way at all to tell whether its a real copy or a cracked copy. Plus is illegal to redistribute "backup" CDs by most EULA's
