I just bought a Windows Server 2003 virtual server. Is it possible for me to set up activedirectory, and have a few computers connect to it?

    How would that be done?

I don't caught the idea but i understand you have a Virtual machine running Windows Server 2003 right?

So, yes it's possible to setup the AD and using other VM with XP to be the clients, could be physical computers or virtual no problem.

That's the easiest way to do a lab and test stuff like policies or everything you want to do.

Step by Step guide for WS03 as Domain Controller:

I hope you know how to create the VM clients or have a PC in the same network to test it. Make XP virtuals are basically easy. And when you have finished to configure your server will be easy put them on domain.

    Hope it helps, regards.:zzz
