Is this possible?

Not sure where to put this, I am not the most computer literate person in the world, but I have a question....

I recently had reason to check my fiance's internet history (yes I know, unethical) and found a LOT of entries for the site oneclickchicks.com (a porn site). When I confronted him about it, he claimed that he had written a script that downloaded photos from the site daily because they were good for trade on IRC or something (he's in IT btw).

Is this possible? Or is he talking out of his a$$??? Even if there was a script, why would it show up in the internet history??

He said he would email me the script today, so if I get it, I would appreciate if someone could tell me if he is telling the truth.

A tricky one... in computing there is always more than one way to 'skin a cat' or do something.

Assuming he is running Windows then I don't know. I don't know if Internet Explorer can execute scripts that do this and whether or not it would log it in the history... Or Firefox/Opera for that matter.

However feel free to post the script up here (if its short) and I'm sure it can be tested to verify whether he's telling the truth.

My gut reaction is that it isn't the truth, and theres no way said script could be written without some good knowledge of how the site is set out.

 

My Gut Reaction is a bit different...

If he's and adult and its not child porn then who cares? Considering you put him on the spot and went digging...he may have told you that to avoid the issue.

By the way... Is he a Navy IT?

 

It wasn't the fact that there was porn, it was the sheer volume of it that upset me. There were entries for every day in the internet history.

I wouldn't care if our sex life was ok, but it's not.... I need to know if he;s replacing me with it.

 

see, I have an even different view. I say , look at it with him.

It's possible to screen scrape sites but i'm almost 100% that it won't leave a browser history.

I think he's giving you a line but only because he thinks you think porn is "dirty"..

 

I don't view porn as dirty, and I would so much rather he not hide it, and I want to look at it with him.

Also, the onelickchicks site is really just pics of amateur girls, which upsets me more than actual porn... he's turning to other girls when I'm right there.

I've found it in his history the day I leave after staying the whole weekend without having sex (he refused).

I am seriously afraid that he is addicted.

 

next time you're together, why don't you innocently suggest you "find" some adult material together and see what he says. Without getting graphic, make sure you get to him before his 5 friends do
