Is this version 64 bit of vista?

If the US versions of the Upgrade DVDs are similar to the UK ones you dont get x64 as default on the disk ( you do with Ultimate upgrade version tho ) but you get info on how to gain this x64 version!? pass on how you gain them as I thought all part from OEM versions were to have both versions on the DVD, looks like only Ultimate Upgrade and the Full Retails are to have both on the DVD, maybe different in the USA so check with retailer.


One word of warning about Upgrade versions, IF you think they are the same as all the older Windows upgrade disks in that you could boot to them to clean install by just poping a pervious OS cd in the drive to validate, then your not going to be happy now as to use the upgrade versions now you will have to have an installed version of XP SP2 already on the HD as the installer only runs from inside windows, once your validated as having a previous installed OS then you do then gain the options to Upgrade install ( does take antwhere from 30mins to a few hours going this route ) or the option to format Clean install.

Clean install is best and OEM versions although you only get either x86 or x64 versions are the cheapest route or for full options Full Retail are best, you can upgrade or clean install with these versions fine.
