Is WhatsApp safe

Is the social media app WhatsApp safe to use on cell/mobile phones? Are there too many security glitches to make it safe to use?

 

I don't use WhatsApp simply because I have no need for it.

Ask the anti-WhatsApp lobby, how many of those users suffered any serious loss? Every social networking app has security risks. There's more malware for Windows than all other OSes combined simply because there are more Windows users. Likewise, as WhatsApp continues to grow, the threats will increase. Facebook acquired WhatsApp for US$19 billion. Facebook tracks your internet activity all over the web and then sells that information. :confused

Only you can decide how important your privacy is to you. But, the 'right' to privacy is a farce.
I really don't give a :crap if anybody can see my messages or my photos. There's nothing they can do with them.

Sometimes common sense must prevail. The best security on your phone and/or computer... is between your ears.

Exactly what I said. Because WhatsApp is popular, it will be criticized. It's a libturd thing. And WhatsApp users will continue to use it. Good for them. Don't listen to the :***

 

Have used it ever since it came out and no trouble ever... don't listen to the naysayers the programme is safe!

 

I'm going to try it. Just have to see what happens.

 

I've been using it since last November and have never had an issue with it. Not to sound too :drool but I think it's a great app.
