Is WNCSMS~1.exe a bad thing...

or an ok thing?

Chaslang was able to help me uncorrupt one of my PC's, and he's given me hope that maybe I can maybe fix another that I had decided to abandon. (I hope he isn't cursing himself right now...).

I ran all the stuff like before, and I don't see any weird problems like pop-ups or anything. I did not run HijackThis, but I did check all the processes. The only thing I saw that I couldn't Google-validate was WNCSMS~1.exe.

Does anybody recognize it?

That would make sense - I use an AT&T dial-up service.
