.iso File Needs Utility to Make a CD

Hi MG's,

I've downloaded an .iso image file to my hard drive. I used to have a utility to deal with such a thing, but lost it in my pile of old data CDs.

I need to convert it back into a usable file that I can install from. I have Nero, but I don't think it will do it, at least not without a plugin of some sort.

I know there is a small app somewhere (free download link) that can do the conversion for me...but forgot where it is or what it was called.

Can anyone give me the link and any other pertinent info about making an .iso image file useful, in the ordinary sense, to install a program from it ??

Use http://www.majorgeeks.com/ImgBurn_d4870.html to make your CD and then install as per normal.

 

Nero will work fine. If you select "burn disc from image" and then browse to the .ISO file, it will work fine. ImgBurn is good too; it will burn just about any type of image file you can think of.... if you want to look at the ISO without burning it, you can either extract it with TUGzip or WinRAR, or mount it to a virtual drive and it will act just like a regular CD.
